The Founder of our business was Cor Van Raay.

Cor Van Raay, was a visionary leader and innovator in the cattle industry, laying the foundation for our success. His commitment to excellence was evident in the continual improvement of feedlots, where he implemented best practices, prioritized environmental stewardship, and advanced cattle handling techniques. Managing five globally recognized feedlots, Cor’s passion for learning and innovation, combined with his expansive vision, led him to diversify operations, including farm implement dealerships, trucking, beef processing, and exporting. His strategic marketing skills initiated large-scale cattle exports to the United States, benefiting producers, employees, and consumers while elevating Alberta’s reputation as a world-class agri-food player. Beyond farming in Alberta, Cor acquired 35,000 acres of dryland in Saskatchewan to form Van Raay Land Inc. as part of his continuous expansion.

A compassionate philanthropist and community builder, Cor’s generosity has positively impacted countless Albertans, marking him as one of southern Alberta’s most prominent entrepreneurs and a key figure in strengthening the agriculture industry for over 50 years.
